- GTbrew2
- GTbrew2 is a recipe formulation program that I wrote using Tcl/Tk.
It is based loosely on my old log sheets (see below).
It will run under any system that has Tcl/Tk installed, and there
is also a binary release for win32 systems.
[README.txt] [sample pic]
- GTbrew2-win32-v1.3.zip
this ZIP archive contains the Windows executable and support files. Note that as of
version 1.3 (30 May 2010) there has been a change to make
things easier for the windows release. The executable, gt2.exe, does NOTHING
more than load the new gtbrew2.tcl, which was gt2.tcl, and is now in the lib directory.
The startup config files have also been moved into the newly-created init directory.
NEW 30 May 2010
Once you have the 1.3 version of gt2.exe, you no longer need to download the win32
version. Instead, download the .tar.gz version and where it has gt2.tcl, use your
copy of gt2.exe instead.
- GTbrew2-v1.3.tar.gz - same as above, but packaged for
Unix and other systems with Tcl/Tk installed (i.e., all Tcl, no .exe), or for Windows
systems that already have the version 1.3 gt2.exe. Again, note the directory structure
changes! NEW 30 May 2010
- My log sheet (PDF) - my brew log that seems
to be so popular around here... (PDF format)
- My log sheet (JPEG) - same, as a jpeg
- My log sheet (MS Word) - same, as a word doc
- New SRM color chart - These are the
new values used in GTbrew2. Values missing from the original chart
were interpolated.
- colorguide.tcl - Tcl/Tk code that I hacked
together for testing the color chart.
Here's another little toy for you that I made from that aluminum
foil/bubble wrap insulation (Reflectix): It's my 5-minute nearly-free
drip pan!
It's basically just one sheet, measured, cut, folded, and stapled
together. It's held to the fridge in this case by some very powerful
magnets from ancient hard drives that were destroyed.
